what a mission!

8 days, 5 planes, 9 hours time difference, 3 hotels, 2 ski resorts, 500 miles by car....and finally a second place 0,1 points behind at the mammoth nissan open in california.

two times at two different mountains we are already at the startgate, once flown up by heli and once we hiked, but both times the contest had to be called of because of the bad weather.

a huge storm raged over california, so when we finally did the comp it happened in more than half a meter of pow. the face was called "oh shit" and was a rather short but challenging one with room for powder turns, tricks and cliff drops.

at my first run i had troubles landing the final cliff, so i had to risk more in the second. with a clean 360 at the top and a straightline at the bottom i managed to win the second run, finishing 2nd overall behind alex coudray and ahead of cyril neri, both from switzerland.

after a quick stopover in munich at ispo the tour will move on to sochi in russia for the second out of 5 events of the tour starting thursday.

i am super motivated for the next events!!"
